    Dr. M,
I was wondering if you could shed some light on how low progesterone in women can mimic hypothyroid even though their thyroid is in proper range. What psychological and phyisological impact can this have on ones well being. When a women is one progesterone for an extended amount of time then due to finacial reasons can not afford it any longer she stops cold turkey. What effect could this have on her system? Could it be similar as a guy stopping testoserone cold turkey? One of the symptoms that has been elevated since this is the sense of fear and increased response to stress (mainly emotional). It is women nature to use emotion to help make decisions, but when a women is emotionally charged naturally could a progesterone imbalances could affect her decisions based upon logic and reasoning.
