Dr. Mariano, have you used this particular combo that many practitioners in the anti-aging community have been using? Just curious.

It’s a combination of exogenous testosterone with nandrolone decanoate, also known as “deca” to assist with lean mass and tissue repair as some of its benefits. Nandrolone occurs in minute amounts naturally.
It has also been reported to be synergistic in nature to delay/prevent prostate cancer, give a better cholesterol profile, alleviate joint pain, give the appropriate amount of libido, as well as keep muscle mass slightly higher than average. The main reason for these occurrences (excluding cholesterol & joints) is that nandrolones are known to bind to androgen receptors (as an agonist) and cortisol receptors (as an antagonist) stronger than testosterone while simultaneously converting to a much weaker androgen when compared to DHT via 5alpha reductase (it converts to dihydronandrolone a.k.a. DHN) in addition to only converted to estrogen at 20% of the rate that testosterone does.

    Here’s an anti-aging clinic’s pitch:

Dr. Crisler feels, however, that nandrolone has no place in HRT since it is a progestin that can cause cancer:

It appears it also affect thyroid function.

Seems like the HRT docs are divided on its use.

    What are your thoughts?
