    Hello Dr Mariano,

If an individual has a 24-hour production of cortisol that is way over range,
high morning cortisol in serum (no fear of needles),
but seemingly normal or even low cortisol on saliva tests, what would you infer from that?

Does that person have low or high cortisol?
Or is it an indication of another problem?

    Saliva cortisol 08:30 AM 17,4 nmol/l (4,0-27,0)
Saliva cortisol 02:00 PM 7,1 nmol/l (no range)
Saliva cortisol 06:00 PM <4,0 nmol/l no range)
    Saliva cortisol 11:00 PM 5,4 nmol/l (<6,0)
    Free cortisol in 24 hour urine 408 nmol/24h (45-272)

    Thanks in advance.

    Johnny.
