how can we get ride of the lyme. i have tested positive for lyme on and off since 1998. ive had issues with on and off fatigue periods of anxiety and other strange symptoms throughout the years but nothing too crazy.then in 2008 i over trained and under ate and it opened me up to all sorts of problems. i had low hormones across the board. after years of working on them trying trt,hc,t3 nothing made me feel better during that time i went back to a normal diet and less exercise. some of my hormones came back up my thyroid looks good my cortisol levels are still low normal and my testosterone was right at bottom of the range so after trt made my low cortisol symptoms worse i tried low dose clomid for a couple months. i do not feel great on clomid but i got through it. now my t levels are 450-range is 348-1100.
I feel better then i have at any point of this hormone adventure but i still feel off. i have on and off fatigue with burning eyes and lightheadedness. but there is no rhyme or reason for this. i can eat like crap one week and workout and play hockey and have a great week and then sometimes i cant. sometimes i can do nothing all week and feel terrible 5-7 days..i also always have slight muscle twitches, tight muscles and my muscles are hyper reactive if i get hit
sorry for rambling. what i was trying to get at is how can we tell if its lyme or hormones or lyme causing hormone issues.I do not feel any better taking oral antibiotics and i tried I.V rocephin but i got phlebitis the second day and we pulled the picc line and i really didnt wanna try it again.

YOu need to have your adrenals supported at the appropiate times. Cortef would be appropiate in this case.
i am using cortef and splitting the doses at appropriate times yet i have not felt any better in doing so as of yet

Toremifene: full testicles, subjectively supraphysiological test levels at least initially (I’ve never taken exogenous test to compare), insane training intensity during week 2, great focus (thyroid related?), great sleep, and go-for-it mentality for a few days only, and less skin down there at a dose above 30mg. No change in libido. Dose (liquid form so who knows): 120mg for 4-5 days, 90mg for a week, 60 for two weeks, 30 for a week.
Clomid: very few subjective effects primarily in the gym and after, e.g. feeling high and not tired-and-depressed after, great muscle gains that disappeared upon discontinuation, no change in testicle size or mood or mentatility although the first week at 50-100mg I got extremely happy for a day and got some tracers that disappeared very quickly as the dose went down. No change in libido. Dose (in liquid again): 50-100 for a week, 25mg per day for 4 weeks, 25 EOD for 2 weeks.
Nolva: zero subjective effects at any dose and potency.
The closest OTC thing that has given me the mental and performance effects of Toremifene is Sustain Alpha.
I don’t know about conversion but probably 25mg of Clomid is close to 60mg of Toremifene subjectively.
Both experiments were conducted “clean” and were not preceded by androgen use.
something to think about. im using it to try to restart after extreme diet and stress i belive crushed my t levels

Getting LH and thyroid going will help feed the mechanism to create solid testosterone levels.
I have had a few guys once thyroid was regulated T levels jumped from 250 to over 700 with no other variables added. If you are low thyroid this may affect LH production and also your testosterone levels. Your e2 levels are not to high to cause negative feedback loop for lower T ..If your e2 was >40 then possible, but not with your current levels. I suspect you are secondary 100%, but simple clomid challenge test would identify this and would get your T going then your thyroid may also rebalance but you need to idenitfy cortisol level. I can have a test kit sent to you for 119 to identify this.Check adrenals – doable
thyroid – done
testosterone doneall this is doable.
does the good dhea level tel anything about adrenal function
September 9, 2009 at 1:43 am #2656charliebizzMemberjust a little update got acouple test from zrt and here are my results
estradiol(blood SPOT)26
pg/ml 12-56
testosterone(blood spot)306
ng/dl 400–1200
dheas(BLOOD spot)281
ug/dl 70—325
free t3 (blood spot)2.2
pg/ml 2.5—-6.5i was only on 10mg of dhea the rest was natural supps and vitamins.
i really dont know where to go next i still dont have medical benefits.
so im still in a tough spot. since my dhea is in good range could that be telling me that my adrenals are doing good or is that not always the case.any recommendations would be great

With out medical insurance and not knowing when one is going to get it. Taking matters into ones own hand is not recommended but with my self desperate time desperate measures. From clomid challege it will indentify if you are primary vs secondary and from their you can determine on what next steps need to be taken. We already know you total ft3 is low, but we do not know if your conversion of t4 to t3 is altered of that your total thyroid is low. With out proper evaluation its just a shot in the dark. I did identidied you as hypothyroid through muscle testing and also now the lab confirms it, We also speculated that your adrenals where out of balance and they where because your DHEA was low in the salvia. Right now we are at a cross roads with out any further data clincally its just a crap shot now.
Doing the clomid challenge might shed some light on current reason why T is low.i never did a saliva test…. and how am i gonna get labs after i do the clomid to see what happen
August 26, 2009 at 1:13 am #2653charliebizzMemberdr.m what do you think about the clomid challenge with someone with numbers and symptoms like mine

Testosterone replacement can generally achieve restoration to adequate testosterone levels. It depends on the technique used. Transdermal testosterone, for example, is not well absorbed by some people, particularly those who are hypothyroid. Injected testosterone can definitely increase testosterone levels.
i was wondering if i can get the levels up without hrt

It is important to find a health practitioner for guidance.
When conventional physicians can’t help, then alternative health physicians, including naturopathic doctors may be helpful.
Generally, I do not often prescribe herbal products, and even then, only a select few, since the mechanisms of action are often unclear. I prefer knowing what is happening
thats the other thing when i do get my benifits back finding a good doc on long island to help me out…do you think based on my numbers would it be possible to get my testosterone back to normal with out hrt.last test i took a month ago my test went up to 300 so it might be going back up slowly but im not sure.the both tests were taking at around 7am.im not sure what it used to be but i think i was normal until the crash diet i hit puberty at the same time as every one else i get plenty of facial hair and body hair deep voice the whole 9.and i also never had cold intolerance acne problems and all that good stuff till the diet and excersice addiction lol.my libido is getting better some spontanous erections and morning wood but still not 100% and my pimples seem to be clearing up so maybe i am slowly getting better but my body temp still low

Tribulus Terrestris is suppose to increase LH, resulting in an increase in Testosterone. However, studies are not so convincing.
In my experience, I haven’t found it useful. But then people’s responses to it may vary. As the saying goes, “Your mileage may vary.”
Here is a review:

July 26, 2009 at 4:08 pm #2649charliebizzMemberwould i benefit from somthing like tribulus..has anybody have any success with products like that.
July 23, 2009 at 8:43 pm #2736charliebizzMemberi really dont know how to aproach this since i dont have med insurance.and its hard enough for me to take asprin with out worrying let alone tryng to self medicate to fix my thyroid and low t i really need some direction
July 22, 2009 at 11:42 pm #2735charliebizzMemberi think i might try out with straight t3 supplimentation…is there anything i should worry about based on my numbers..and if i went off the medication would i go back to how i was before or could i end up worse off then before the meds

Please note the changes that you have experienced in the past 6 weeks since you have made dietary changes. I think you have a lot of your nutrient basis and balance covered very well. Now one needs to look for ways to feed the thyroid that is why I like iodoral and also standard process thyroptrophin,. I do not look at it as thyroid replacement but rather way to rejuvenate the thyroid. I have used this in the past for people that do not have insurance and helped many feel better.
the changes were in libido and sleep ..my libido is almost back to normal .i get some morning erections.ive been back to sleeping thru the night and having alittle bit of dreams sometimes.
energy levels have not changed body temp still low.still never feel refreshed upon waking.
also you mentiond standard processed thyrotrophin but never told me to start using it
