I am saving up my money to get some labs done. I have no insurance 🙁 so it’s a
big expense for me. I want to test my hormones, and possibly neurotransmitters.

I have used QUEST in the past (very pricey), and ZRT (much more reasonable, but
confining to their limited panels). There is also MyMedLab.com where you can order
your own tests, w/o a doctor’s script–they are generally cheaper than QUEST.

What thoughts do you all have about this? And what tests would you put at the top
of this list? And is there a list somewhere on this forum to refer to?

you really dont need any tests..

    maybe a 24hr savlia cortisol ..

    treat thyroid by body temp..

tread adrenals based on cortisol testing…

fixing adrenals/thyroid will help everything else…

i dont think testing neurotransmitters is worth it

if need be test testosterone and e2, dheas…. thats about it

i personally would get spectracell done for 265$…

    i would do spectracell;
24hr cortisol (or maybe 24hr rheins kit if you can get it)
zrt lab: blood spot for TT, e2, dheas, possibly thyroid

ZRT has a Comprehensive Female Profile with the 4X cortisol, a thyroid panel of
Free T3, Free T4, TSH and TPO, and the sex hormones–Prog., E2, DHEA and T.
    Is that enough?

    . seems good

but only if its all blood spot…. i dont think salvia for sex hormones is accurate; only cortisol

i did blood spot for TT, thyroid from ZRT and thought it was pretty accurate compared to my quest results
