I have hashimoto’s thyroditis and am on SRT3, just did a cortisol saliva to make sure i don’t have low cortisol. My body temperature is still chronically low 35.4C.
On a ONE evaluation i did at genova i had Mitochondrial dysfunction, Their is also the possible issue of mercury/gadolinium poisoning which i had elevated levels of both on hair analysis. I have been using supplements to chelate only.
I am seeing a neurologist who through testing uncovered peripheral neuropathy and central nervous system damage of unknown cause. He sent me to do a spinal and brain MRI and a glucose/Insulin Tolerance test.
A CT Brain Scan showed posterior cortical atrophy of unknown cause.
I had certain elevated Lymphocytes:
HLA-DR (Class II) – 0.65* (0.04-0.50)
CD8 T Suppressor Cells – 1.18* (0.40-1.00)
and a lowered CD4:CD8 ratio indicating a weak immune system 0.8 * (1.20 – 3.00)
Paradoxically my IgE is chronically elevated – 3810 * (<100)
I really don’t know why this is happening to me.
I have very little appetite during the day and then wake up during the night usually 1 hour after i go to sleep. Then this can happen 2-3 times a night where i eat during the night.
Any ideas?

I am thinking it is a combination of low cortisol, high norepineprhine in a hypoglycemic episode for me.
Do you find a simple carb helps or do you tend to only find relief from complex carbs?
My reasoning is (from a nutritionist background) hypoglycemic episodes should be pretty quickly cleared up by oral glucose but mine is not and that seems to point to a more hormonal/neurotransmitter (low serotonin or high norepi).
Also my body temp is chronically low but i often have fevers for me (ie i feel burning hot and am dripping sweat) despite the temp never going above 36.5 even when im burning a huge fever.
It was pointed out this could be a result of high norepi levels…
i take it youve tried the boring standard high protein snacks at night beore bed to give more controlled energy release (my first trial but made no difference with this issue)

Shifts in immune system inflammatory signaling and sympathetic nervous system signaling balance affect both appetite and sleep.
September 3, 2010 at 3:08 pm #3562MetalMXMemberI find I am personally carb intolerant
and only do well with predominant protein and fat food
sources.Recently I have found out I have a parasitic
disease within my muscles and I don’t know
where else it could be but I keep having itchy skin
feeling crawling creeping sensations under my
skin and in the muscles, stomach, liver, lungs. It was actually
mimicing the peripheral neuropathy symptoms
I thought I had. Also night sweats, reduced appetite,
Fatigue, muscle swelling, feeling cold.Dr Mariano can you give a bit more information
regarding what parasites can cause
muscle and possibly CNS infections. It would basically explain all my symptoms
for months and blood tests always come
back about normal…September 4, 2010 at 10:35 pm #3564diesielMember@MetalMX 3275 wrote:

I think you need to start looking at lyme disease and co-infections.
September 6, 2010 at 5:42 am #3563MetalMXMemberHow would I get Lyme in Australia? Unlikely
i think it’s a parasitic infection
since the only thing that stopped my
neurological symptoms was albendazole
an anti-helminthic. They are still present
but not to the same degree at all.Any I’ve had these symptoms for nearly
two years.I have hashimotos thyroiditis
on 4 grains of ERFA thyroid
don’t have anymore thyroid symptoms
just this scum infection that
won’t GTFO! -
