I have used trandermal DHEA in the past and have my free, bio and igf-1 doubled.
Positives
1. It does not convert into estrogens as much as oral dhea
2. It has shown to increase bio T, free T and also igf-1 at 15-25 mgs
3. Gives instant feeling of euphoria with in an hour of application
4. Notice incredible strength gains
5. More increased erections
6. Muscles where alot fuller, more vascular, harder getting pump in the gym
7. Seemed to be easier on prostate enlargement then oral dhea
8. Easy to applyNegatives
1. It decreased my serum DHEA back to base line of 120 (90-540)
2. Serum blood is not an accurate measure even putting the TD DHEA on 2 hours before blood draw my serum levels did not increase
3. Make it difficult to manage e2 if you have issues because you can never get a good level in the blood because it fluctuates so much.Over all opinoin
If one could find an accurate way to calibrate the dosage while keeping other hormones in check, track it like an oral preparation.. I see it as huge asset to HRT ..Since my body converts dhea to estrogen at rapid rate i have the option of possible using 50 mgs (25 BID )of 7 keto dhea instead of regular dhea, but would the 7 keto actually increase serum dhea levels? reduction of the sex hormones is what I am looking for. If my hypothesis is right then I may be able to manage my e2 with out any adex. Other option is to use transdermal DHEA at 15-20 mgs a day, but there is no way of accurate tracking it like oral preparations.

I think most males convert DHEA to E2 more than they do T, at least in oral form. Why not supplement the transdermal with a smaller amount of pharm grade micronized DHEA. Like 5 mg twice a day?
I am curious as to whether the sublingual form of DHEA more readily converts to T as the TD is reputed to do (source?).
I also wonder about it’s half life, pharmacokinetics and dosing.
That might be a good topic for a thread.

7 keto is a metabolite of DHEA so it can not raise dhea as these can not go back and forth between each other. It is not like e1 <----> e2
Sublingual form would cause a quick spike and probably a great one in e2 as well dependent upon the person. -
