Ray Peat is a good biochimist, he has wrinting many articles about hormones specially about pregnenolone, progesterone, coconut, dangers of insatured fatty acid.
Ray Peat prefer to use pregnenolone with some T3 and to eat liver instead of HC For him, the adrenals will recover quickly, because their cells regenerate very quickly with this strategy.
Again I’m septick because pregnenolone doesn’t transform into cortisol, it’s depends of your phenotype and T3 stress the adrenal.
If people are heal of severe adrenal fatigue (not addison’s disease) with prenegnolone, low dose of T3 and liver thank you to give your story

There are many ways to treat hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis dysregulation (which includes conditions called adrenal fatigue).
Generally, I would look at an individual’s condition and situation and customize a treatment for them.
Pregnenolone is a precursor for cortisol. It is also a neurotransmitter in the brain which functions in improve attention and memory.
Liver is excellent source of protein, fat, Vitamin A, D, B12, Iron, etc. Regularly eating liver is a great option for maintaining a high nutrient density diet.

T3 and T2 are the hormones that activate the mitochondria. Hydrocortisone suppresses the deiodinase that converts T4 to the active hormone. Pregnenolone, the precursor to all the steroid hormones, including testosterone and estrogen, as well as the adrenal steroids, requires thyroid and vitamin A for its formation. Combining hydrocortisone and thyroxine reduces the amount of T3, and the combination is likely to lower T3 seriously, reducing the ability to convert cholesterol into steroids. When the diet is good, the adrenals can fully regenerate in several days or a few weeks, from extreme suppressive doses of cortisol.I have a big respect for the work of Ray Peat, but I’m not sure If I known the work of Dr Jefferies. But like many physician like Dr Lowe, thyroxine and hydrocortisone had bad press. But this two stuff are natural molecule in the body

Here is a link to the book by Jefferies some of the best parts “Safe Uses of Cortisol”
