    Hi,

I was just calculating an average day’s diet for myself and realized that about 40% ( maybe 45%) of my diet comes from fat. I eat egg yolks, avocadoes, almonds, cashews, pumpkin seeds, walnuts, cashew butter, almond butter, peanut butter, and olive oil on a daily basis. Is this too much kcalories too come from fat and not enough from carbs? I average about 30% carbs, and 26-28% protein. I know the body uses alot of its energy from carbs, and uses fat and protein as second and third sources. I think I read somewhere that the body likes to use most of its energy from carbs, and doesnt really like using fat and protein as sources. I am a little confused about this, and wondering if my percantage of kcalories from fats, carbs, and proteins is off? Thanks
