I’m a 30 year old male. My problems with poor concentration and memory started at an early age and have continued to worsen over time. When I was about 18, I noticed that I had real problems with fatigue, which was gradually getting worse. I was a physically active person, but after starting some cardio at the gym and a martial arts class straight afterwards I felt incredibly weak all of a sudden and broke out in a cold sweat and nausea. Since then, I’ve also noticed that moderate exercise or muscle stretching leaves my muscles aching for days, like they’re not being repaired efficiently anymore.
A year later, the fatigue and concentration problems were seriously interfering with my work life, so I had to quit my job. I went to the doctor complaining primarily about the sleep and memory problems, and because I felt so distressed about what was happening to my body and mind, I broke down in tears. This led to a diagnosis of depression. I was prescribed medication but after trying lots of them I have had no success.
I recently requested a visit to an endo because my already poor libido suddenly took a dive and I haven’t had morning wood for a while now.
I am posting up my blood levels, they were taken just after 8.30 in the morning.
Testosterone 17.2 (9.2-55.8)
SHBG 23 (13-71)
LH 3.5 (2-12)
FSH 2.1 (1-12)
TSH 2.12 (0.35-4.94)
FT3 5.2 (2.6-5.7)
FT4 18 (9-19)My B12 level came back as 366 (187-883), which I know I should try to get higher.
Unfortunately the endo discharged me from the clinic, saying that he suspects my symptoms are probably caused by ‘underlying psychological factors’. He obviously read my notes and found my ‘psychiatric history’ a good cop out.
He said that the tests he did would rule out pituitary problems, but I’m not sure he’s covered everything. Any advice? Opinions?

But I talk to so many I can’t keep track.
Your Testosterone levels in USA units about just under 500 it’s hard to get this treated with levels this high yet I do feel Dr.’s need to stop telling men they are suffering from Depression with labs like yours. They need to treat you by how you feel. One thing that stands out is your low levels of LH and FSH but with out seeing your Estradiol levels one can’t tell if you have a pituitary problem.
This is way the pituitay can’t tell the difference between Estradiol and Testosterone and if your Estradiol is high it will think it’s Testosterone that is high and slow down sending the LH and FSH messages to your testis to make more Testosterone so your LH and FSH look low.
You need to test this and if your Estradiol is above 111 you need to get it down doing this can up your Testosterone levels in my USA units some 200 to 300 Points. So test this if high fix it the retest.
Just by you saying no morning wood and breaking down in tears tells me you could be very high with Estradiol.

I find the following link applies to younger men also.

In this link you will learn about low T and high Estradiol levels.
http://www.griffinmedical.com/male_hormone_modulation_therapy.htmlAlso check your morning fasting Cortisol levels if they are 15 our less in my units do a 4x’s in a day Saliva test to see if your cortisol rhythm is off. You sound to me like you might have Adrenal Fatigue.
You can read my story at this link I have been down this road and your not alone.
