For the solid past 3-4 years I have been dealing with what I believe low adrenal function symptoms, Hypothyroid symptoms and with in the past year a messed up circadian rhythm…
I have an extremely hard time getting out of bed in the morning and falling asleep at night. I usually need ambien to fall asleep (have been using ambien almost every night now for over a year, no choice or I wont fall asleep until 3am or later).. I feel sleepy and sluggish during the day all the time even if I had managed to actually get a good nights sleep. Stimulants do not work for me (ie.. caffiene, coffee, ephedra) no energy response.
Also, when I try to work out anytime in the morning or early afternoon I struggle and feel weak and end up having a “shitty” workout… If I work out in the evening (after 5pm) I feel good, have more energy and feel stronger (i have better workouts)… I bust my ass to blast my abs and I watch what I eat, I have a hard stomach and you can see the ab muscles clearly but I have this spare-ish looking/bloated tire around my lower stomach/love handles that will not go away (and I am tight all over/ I should not have this).. Its frustrating cuz this is something new I am experiencing with my abs/stomach I have always been able to rip up very quickly and this shit is not going away…
About 5 months ago I started on a low dose of HC (hydrocortisone) @ 15mgs/day (5mg am/5mg noon/5mg 4pm).. I actually felt energy returning and I had a very productive 3 days managing to clean out the garage (big task) and feeling more like my old self before all these problems started…. but then I added t3 to help clear out my high rt3 and I crashed back to my miserable state before I started HC… Now I am struggling in limbo just barely making it through the days/weeks feeling like shit. I had dropped the t3 and went back to straight HC but I am not feeling any response from the HC and I even increased the dose to 25mg/day (10mg am/ 10mg noon, 5mg 4pm)…
What is my bodies problem? why do I feel better working out in the evening as opposed to mornings?
thank you in advance for any replies…. billy

The underlying causes of adrenal dysregulation need to be determined in order to have targets for treatment.
Although T3 treatment can, in some people, help reduce reverse T3, it can also backfire on the person and increase reverse T3.
Generally, self-treatment without adequate knowledge can lead to trial and error, with much error, results.
A contributing factor to insomnia is excessive stress signaling. The factors that result in excessive stress signaling need to be determined so that a better treatment can be designed.
