I am looking for supplements for gut healing. So far everything i have found locally contains glutamine in significant doses, with all other gut healing nutrients/herbs. e.g. slipper elm bark, aloe vera, n-acetyl glucosamine, apple pectin.

When i used L-Glutamine i start feeling completely wiped out both physically and especially mentally. What is interesting is that glutamine is synthesised from glutamate and ammonia. Glutamate is a neurotoxin and is involved in many neurodegenerative disease which are caused by this excitotoxicity. And high levels of ammonia in the body are also very toxic causing neurological, musculoskeletal and liver enlargement. So its no wonder i didn’t feel well using glutamine.

So what are other options for gut/intestine healing? Since the gut and intestines are comprised of large amounts of glutamine which they use a fuel source and which keeps their integrity and someone cannot use this.

I have mild chronic gastritis which is a pain in the arse. Want to increase healing of gut/intestines.

I already use Probiotics regularly since they are anti-inflammatory they should be helping with gastritis and other digestive issues. Vegetable Digestive enzymes, Oxbile and Betaine HCL. for digestive health.

The GAPS (Gut and Psychology Syndrome) diet is key in healing the gut. It is recommended by the Weston A. Price Foundation.
