Hi, I am a 45 white male, presenting with heterozygous hemochromatosis (self diagnosed then confirmed). Recovered from 50% paralysis from a stroke caused by atril fibrillation I have taken the last 4 years, read over 30,000 pages and have made it my daily goal and objective to defy genetics. Currently on HRT to include Testosterone and other compounds to address adrenal issues.

    Welcome!

Hemochromatosis is easily and frequently missed. It seems only a few doctors would think about doing a serum ferritin level – even if anemic.

Since I have found that hemochromatosis occurs so frequently as one of the underlying causes of mental illness, I have made it a point to monitor ferritin levels.
