just wanted to know what the connection is. i have had problems with erections (can get them with manual stimulation but cant always keep them up) and have developed mild performance anxiety. the thing i have noticed is if i eat something beforehand it really calms me down and increases my ability to perform.
i wonder if it may have something to do with blood sugar since i have low cortisol (hypoglycemia) ir if it is something else. anyone know the connection? thank you!
September 23, 2009 at 2:40 pm #3539pmgamer18MemberHi it’s me pmgamer18 Phil I have hypoglycemia do to low cortisol but now on a good dose of Cortef and treating my Aldosterone levels with Florinef my suger is fine. I still eat something at bed time to keep my levels up when sleeping.
I have not noticed this when eating having had ED problems for a very long time do to high Estradiol levels the problems are gone. But in my mind every time I go to have sex with my wife I worry it will not stay up and this kills it.
When Cialis came out my Dr. put me on this 20 mgs every 3 days and the problem is gone plus it helps keep my BP levels in check. I can’t take Viagra it makes me so sick I don’t feel like sex. Doing the Cialis every 3 days after a week on it there are no sides and I don’t have to wait for a pill to work it’s ready anytime of the day.
I feel once a man has a problem with ED and it gets fixed we all will suffer with performance anxiety this will never quit.
Today after having heart by pass sugary I am on Cialis everyday for my heart and this works as well if not better then 20 mgs every 3 days.

Eating something can help a problem with low blood sugar, at least in the short term, so long as it doesn’t cause a crash later on. Low blood sugar can lead to fatigue, stress and anxiety, which can then impair performance.
Eating also helps stimulate the sympathetic nervous system, so that one can be more alert and/or excited. This helps so long as the stress this also causes is not excessive.
