Hello…
For a long while I was put on antibiotics to treat Acne I was having.
While on these antibiotics, I started feeling… Exhausted all the time, Brain Fog… Etc.
These symptoms persisted even when the antibiotics were stopped.More recently… I have started having Acid Reflux problems and was put on Prednisone and Zantac for a while.
After being on the Zantac… I started to notice problems with my sexual health.Could I have an overgrowth of Candida?
And can Candida cause sexual Dysfunction?
Can this sexual dysfunction be cured by getting rid of the Candida?January 28, 2010 at 4:51 pm #3316KanecoreMemberhttp://www.yeastinfectionadvisor.com/yeastinfectiontreatment.html
This link is all you need. Plus, read the section on mercury and candida.

Can this sexual dysfunction be cured by getting rid of the Candida? It is not just Candida.
Prolonged antibiotic treatment can wipe out one’s probiotic “good” bacteria and yeast. This can lead to gastrointestinal infections with candida, H. pylori (which can cause ulcers), and other pathogenic bacteria and yeast.
Antacids can compound the problem by allowing overgrowth of these pathogens.
These infections are fought by the immune system, leading to increased inflammatory cytokine signaling, which can lead to immune system mediated changes in nervous system, endocrine system function called defensive postures or sickness behaviors. These behaviors include loss of energy, brain fog, sexual dysfunction, loss of motivation, social isolativeness, changes in appetite, changes in sleep, etc.
Treatment involves getting rid of the pathogens and supporting one’s probiotic bacteria and yeast – including dietary changes.
It is not simple to get rid of the pathogenic bacteria. Some are highly resistant to antibiotics. In my own protocol, I have to use four antibiotics – which in some cases only results in a 95% kill rate.
The average adult has about 4.5 pounds of bacteria in the intestines. Supporting these can be complicated – not just by adding a probiotic but adjusting one’s nutrition and gastrointestinal function to keep the probiotic bacterial and yeast population healthy.
