Hi,
About two years ago I was diagnosed subclinical hypothyroid. By the time we found it my adrenals were shot. We then found out we were living in a mold infested property, which we have now left. I had to take a course of steroids for 9 months to bring my adrenals back. As soon as we moved out of the moldy house, my body did not want the steroids and I started experiencing terrible high cortisol symptoms. The high cortisol resulted in rt3. I am now on t3 only, but I really dislike it and wonder if there is another way to handle this? I take holy basil and ps to lower the cortisol and that is working, but you need more cortisol to handle t3 only so it seems lime a catch 22… Lower cortisol to avoid t4 – rt3 problem….support adrenals to handle t3 to clear out rt3. Any other methods out there to deal with this? I prefer t4 and would like to go back on it.
Thanks!
Jen
