Norepinephrine 662 0-874
Epinephrine 25 0-62
Dopamine 12 0-48
These also go along with low morning cortisol levels.
Symptoms are only problems in morning. The most obvious symptom for me is the shrunken penis and tight scrotum area. All symptoms resolve around one or two o’clock. Body temps are normal. Problems all started from abuse of stimulants for training.
On HC low dose right now, with no relief. Thinking of trying pregnenolone.
Does anything stand out? Too high norepinephrine, too low dopamine?
Any help will be great.

Dopamine, in a plasma fractionated catecholamine test, is generally from leakage from norepinephrine producing cells, and is thus not a useful test.
The presence of epinephrine indicates that the connection between the sympathetic nervous system and the adrenal medulla is present.
Hydrocortisone treatment helps many. But for many others, it is too weak a treatment. And for others, it is an incomplete treatment since it also lowers levels of the other adrenal hormones, which may then need to be also replaced so problems can be reduced (otherwise, the opposite of the intended effect of hydrocortisone may even occur).
It is important to try and identify the causes of adrenal dysregulation (the cause of low cortisol production) to help obtain a better targetted treatment. For example, if infection is the cause, treating the infection would lead to a more successful treatment. If poor nutrition is a cause, then improving nutrition would be a more effective treatment.

For me I believe I know the exact time and cause of the adrenal dysfunction. I guess I’m “lucky” in that respect.
It all started taking the medication phentermine for training. But way overuse. The whole scrotum area thing first started, but just while I took the medication. And then the low cortisol followed shortly behind. And now the penis, scrotum are tight every morning even though I haven’t taken the medication in 4 years.
It’s as if it caused permanent high norepinephrine but only in the morning. I don’t know. That doesn’t sound like it makes sense.
So what would be my course of action, since I know what knocked my adrenals for a loop.
The HC doesn’t seem to be helping. Going to start on some Preg. Maybe I need higher doses of HC? Only using 10 mgs now.
Thanks again. Really getting desperate.
