Does anyone have any idea what has happened to me?

in the last 2 days my face and forehead has become covered in a red rash/bumps. it is also around the back of my neck.

i dont know what has caused this, but it may be dhea. i have been taking 25mg for the last 4 mths along with 20mg hc. in the last few weeks i have been working on my electrolytes (magnesium/potassium/sodium) and this has really helped my health.

could it be that my system has become more balanced and so this has helped the adrenals work better. This has in turn now started to produce the acne?

i have stopped taking the dhea yesterday and i notice no change yet.

any ideas on what has happened?

i also feel pretty tired today and it seems i am missing the dhea. the funny thing is the dhea never made any difference to me before. maybe it actually has and it was just very subtle.

update: the acne went after 10 days. it was definitley the dhea which caused it.

As adrenal dysregulation is resolved, then hormone production becomes restored. Exogenous hormone intake (such as DHEA) can then cause an excess. DHEA, itself, has no negative feedback loop to control production. Thus it can accumulate to high levels when combined with oral DHEA.

DHEA as an androgen hormone can cause acne. I think the worse acne in can cause is scalp acne that itches like crazy. Nothing like pustules in the scalp.

Acne is a very bad feeling for everyone, it may occur depression sometimes. Acne is a skin disease which can causes whiteheads, blackheads, and inflamed red growths. To reduce this type of disease try to avoid touching your face with your hands or fingers.
