I have been prescribed slow-release Hydrocortisone which is basically Cortef with a slow-release agent added to it by my doctor

What i am curious about is whether it is the same as regular cortef. I asked the pharmacist and she said it would be released over 6-8 hours.

Is this worth getting? Or is it another scam like slow-release T3 and i should just ask for plain hydrocortisone?

I really don’t want to get screwed again with this and have to order regular HC if its not working properly. If anyone has used this let me know.

Due to digestive issues, people with hypothyroid generally do not do well on slow release anything. Taking hc in 4 divided doses works better for most.
