I am wondering why anyone in their right mind would put amalgams into their mouths. Is the general public so misinformed about the topic. You are simply paying to put poison in your mouth which will make you sick, very sick.
This is a good article form Dr Mercola.com:

My sister has payed anywhere from 5000-10000 dollars to the point now where her whole mouth is filled with these fillings. I advised her against it but she said she had no choice. I said to her i would rather have no teeth than amalgams. Just the other day she tells me she’s having shortness of breath and dizziness and needs help… oh boy.
The ADA has said for the past 150 years that the mercury in amalgam is safe and does not leak.
However, they no clinical studies were ever done and the FDA approved amalgam under the “grandfather clause” Subsequent studies have shown this not to be true.
Over ten years ago the prestigious New England Journal of Medicine published an editorial (12 ) calling mercury fillings the chief source of mercury exposure to the US population.

most people either don’t know, can’t afford alternatives, or both. ten years ago this was the case for me, and I had a dozen metal fillings. I’ve been slowly replacing them with white composites and crowns, but still have 4 silvers left. surprisingly my mercury levels weren’t too high… tested via hair, serum and urine.

I have read some of the skepticism regarding this issue, but others seem to brush it off. I don`t know what to make of it.
January 31, 2010 at 11:11 pm #3965FiguringMemberHeavy metals get stored in the body’s fat and bone. This is one way the body tries to “lock them up” to minimize damage. Mercury especially will not show in urine, hair or blood unless a chelating agent is taken prior to the test.
My wife had a provoked urine test (a chelating agent was used) and her mercury levels were pegged above the top of the range, well above what the FDA even considers safe. Her doc, who runs these tests often said it was the highest result he had seen in awhile. She had multiple amalgam fillings. Prior to this a hair, urine and blood test all showed almost no mercury at all.
If a chelating agent is not used then hair testing will often show the symptoms of deranged mineral transport. The body will often displace large amounts of minerals like calcium or magnesium because of the effects of heavy metals on the body. There is a book about this here:http://www.noamalgam.com/hairtestbook.html
