Dr M
Could you please identify the difference of low and high estrodial impact of biological and Psychological symptoms and cellular signaling. This would help alot of people and should be a sticky as alot of people have estrogen issues due to environmental factors and excessive weight gain.June 20, 2009 at 6:29 pm #2036JanSzMember@hardasnails1973 195 wrote:

for:
Healthy men.
Men on different forms of TRT.
Do we have a chart or formula available that would allow assesment offree and bioavailable Estrodial
something similar to dr Vermulen chart
see second page from the top—-

This is a very interesting topic, Jan.
I do wonder what a “normal” males (healthy) estrogen profile looks like.
It appears this estrogen issue is elusive; Some feel the ultra test (nails) is not reliable, some feel it is relative to when the shot was given.
If you keep getting low estrogen results (IS <2, <4, <6 low in the first place, considering the range would suggest anything less than 29 is normal?) is it cause to worry?
Which scale carries weight?

I think looking at this (Estradiol, Ultrasensitive) test it is good to forget about the
except for <2I guess the <2 value shous test sensitivity.
The test is able to measure down to e2=3
but below that value is not sensitive enough. It is unfortunate that Quest posted <29 instead of usual (a-b) range.
The value itself means really nothing.
Above is just my opinion and a guess.
I just base it on my observations.
I think that this test is accurate, possibly too accurate for its own good..

really looking forward to this information.Cheers.
July 2, 2009 at 6:21 am #2039The450ManMemberIm also interested. I have high free estradiol (ultra esradiol is good) and over double the highest range for estrone
July 2, 2009 at 3:11 pm #2034pmgamer18MemberWell I did both labs for Quests E2 the Ultra with the range of <29 came back at 10 and the Sensitive test #4021 on the same blood draw come in to high at 38 pg/ml range 13 to 54 this is the test I used for yrs until Quest come out with the Ultra test. My Dr. called Quest about this and they said they are having trouble with the machine that does the Ultra test. So why do they keep sending out bad results and keep charging for it. I called my BCBS and told them not to pay for the Ultra test and why.
The cost of health care is through the roof as it is and Co.’s were work for are cutting health care everyday because it’s breaking them.
My self and Hardasnailes talk to a lot of men each day and I have lost count as to how many men did this Ultra test and it came back at <2. They all stopped taking there meds to keep Estradiol down and ended up worse off they were not to low but to high to start with.
I don’t know about others but when my E2 levels go to high I get dam sick and don’t need this crap from the labs. Why is every thing in this world about money is this what we have come down to.
